Is it a good that people can make it so others can't comment on their thread?

Frankly, I think it's ridiculous to make a thread and make it so people who disagree with you can't post, thats just inflating your own ego by preaching to the chorus.

LCpl Mark Lefler I'm really sorry to hear that this kind of stuff is happening on RP. Let's all try to get along and be respectful of each other. I think it is always important to be respectful in our feedback and comments to one another. We are professionals, so let's do our best to create that atmosphere, so we won't lose good members that have great comments and information to share. I always "re-read” my comments to make sure no matter what is said I'm polite and professional toward that individual. If I'm attack by someone for any reason in a comment I will usually just continue to move on and not feed the fire. If I've said something that has offended someone and they bring it to my attention I will apologize and explain what meaning actually was. Its just good educate to get along and learn from each other. LCpl Mark Lefler I hope you can move on and continue to support and provide valuable input to the group. Some times you just have to be bigger than the problem. Have a great Day!

Sir, one of the big commenters on here does it. He makes all kinds and made political stuff back when it was getting bad. I said stop the political crap and got shut out and still out now. He is a spook that should cover it. I have tried to make comments on thread and locked out. I look at it this way, you are not a man if you can't take a hit or comments that you do not agree with. You should just take it as opinions and everyone has them and guess what they are not meant or should not be same opinions, that's how we solve things bye working through differences and learning from them. We do not do this anymore it's my way or highway, mentality and that's what's wrong with society. The sad thing is he makes some good comments and would like to tell him that, but no he had to block me out and not even discuss what I had to say back to him.

I had a someone post a comment to me directly and then blocked me from responding. How is that for a profile in courage. I don't really care, those that are unwilling to have their ideas, opinions or posts challenged by someone that disagrees with them are weak.
If someone is being abusive or belligerent or stalker like, I get it but we are supposed to be fairly sturdy people here. Active Duty, Reservists, National Guardsmen, Veterans etc. not a bunch of shrinking violets.

I enjoy our discourse CPL Jeff. We differ, but you keep the discussion a discussion. Not an attack.

I would want someone to post because I am not always right and if I'm wrong I need someone to tell me.

If it is a case of harassment I think it is ok to block someone. My personal opinion is that I want to know your view whether I agree with it or not and there is a possibility I will vote up an opinion even if I don't agree with it because I believe it is a valid argument. The more views I hear the broader my view will become.

Then you are a True Leader Sir... But on your word the discussion ends...and the job begins.
