SGM Dan Coberly, Who benefits most from a late apology? Apologies are a solace to the offender when the offense is finally recognized.

I guess it is never too late to apologize, their apology can be accepted but the damage is done and it is hard for me to trust again.

It's probably a little too late for the POWs who survived that, given that most of them are dead. But it's not too late for the company; better late than never.
