Is it okay to wear the deployment OCP when you've never been deployed?

Yeah they RIFFED most of them and didn't even care ! There are and were times I failed to even recognize the Army I joined in 75 . Watched us climb out of the hole that Ford and Carter put us in and then saw Regan boost us back up and then the first Bush and Clinton kick us to the curb AGAIN ! Then they needed us once again after 9-11 and we hit the happy times as far as being treated the way the military should be . Then o'bummer gutted our officer and high ranking NCO's because they didn't kiss his ass and bend over . The group in charge now plans to gut us again , things just can't seem to stabilize and allow us to be what we all are - HONEST , FAITHFUL , LOYAL AMERICANS who swore an oath to this Nation ! We had four years to rebuild then bam another bunch who hates us in control , I'm hoping we retain enough of the main core to weather this storm and once again rise to being treated as loyal troops to this great Nation . As for the VA all we can do now is hope for the best . Sorry state of affairs' we're in again !

I met a leader who was pasted with medals, bars, oakleaf clusters, etc, yet he was only an O3. This O3 believed in leadership under fire. Another leader with less across his chest and higher ranking followed the leadership style I-CARE and U-CARE; Solutions First. Which leader was more successful, if both had the same PEBD?

And when you fail to challenge them to seek the knowledge you will never build future leaders. Snubbing someone and guiding them towards knowledge are two completely separate factors. As a young NCO I challenge you to challenge your subordinates to grow. Leaders create new leaders, toxic people who think they’re in charge create angry followers who eventually quit. SFC Benjamin Harrison - LOL, I often challenged my leaders to look up the regs, as I knew them better than then did. I usually would only challenge on BS issues, and for those I knew page, chapter and paragraph. Very few bothered to do the research. I made it into kind of a game. Anything that didn't sound right, I would looke it up, verify if it was covered in unit SOP, and let the games begin.

SFC (Join to see) No, RallyPoint is a place where you go and get opinions about things, and "Well in my day this is the way we did things". If are one is actually interested knowing the answer to a question you have to ask, "What regulation covers ... and is it appropriate for me to bring this up in this manner, if not how should I do it and why?" Otherwise you will get a lot of "information" that may be completely off base, and tank your career.
