Is it possible to be selected for a Warrant Officer Field that you don’t have a feeder MOS for?

If someone has a degree in a certain field that correlates to a Warrant Officer Field (Human Resources), can they submit a selection packet even if they don’t hold the corresponding feeder MOS.

You need to talk with a WO recruiter. Some, like previously stated, will select based on educas well. Sometimes, in hard to fill specialties, the proponent office becomes very artistic when it comes to select candidates. Done get discouraged and make the system work. Don’t disqualify yourself!!!!!

Each warrant MOS is different and announces its requirements. Sometimes one will be hurting so bad they open it to people from a non feeder MOS. That's EXTREMELY rare and the standard answer is that you must have ALC from the feeder MOS to apply to the job.

It is possible. I work with a SFC that was 11B and is going to be a Signal WO. He had all of the credentialing you would to be in that field. They looked at him and accepted his packet. He was never signal at any time.

Thank you sir, I had heard through the grapevine that sometimes exceptions were made if the applicant had certain credentials. I was just wondering if anyone had first hand experience with such a scenario.
