I am a current drilling reservist who is very interested in transitioning to Active Duty as a 35L once I finish my degree. I have a few friends who have transitioned to other Active Duty MOS via Conditional Release, but considering 35L is an application process how would that work? Is it even possible?

Also, what is the best way for me to get into contact with someone who can help me further?

Any information on the subject is appreciated. Thank you!

Have you considered discussing your wants with a recruiter? SPC (Join to see) (I am only an “Odar”). :)

Well unless things have changed you'll need to be an NCO to apply for Counter Intel and have several recommendations from agents, a TS-SCI clearance and I believe a board to be accepted. I'd reach out to the Military Intelligence Readiness Command (MIRC) units and ask for guidance from their CI leadership. They're reserve but they can get you in the right direction for now.
It's not an easy process but it's a fantastic MOS.

Ma’am, the restriction against 10-levels in the MOS was rescinded last year, both for MOS-T and IET Soldiers.

Is it possible to Conditional Release from the Reserves and enter Active Duty as a 35L?

If you can't answer that yourself maybe you're in the wrong MOS.

The current requirement to attend the course is a final Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS-SCI. The application process doesn’t require recommendations, but there is a requirement to be interviewed by a non-probationary CI Agent. If you google “Army CI Recruiting” you’ll find the recruiting page. It’s on IKN so I can’t reach the link from my phone. If you have any specific questions, send me a message and I’ll do my best to answer or point you in the right direction at a minimum. I don’t know the reserve side but the recruiters can guide you through the specifics of the process as it pertains to your particular situation.
