Something to consider. Is the state you're wishing to transfer to have a slot to put you in? If there isn't, you would need to change MOS's so it's challenging to answer your question without knowing if there's a slot to put you in somewhere else. Having said that, I would finish AIT first but definitely check to see if a slot is there for you in the other state.

My mos is 92Y ,which is a mos that is usually plentiful in slots in what I have been told .

I love questions like this. Your not even in the military yet and you already want a waiver for some personal preference. Has it occurred to you that if you are so focused on your personal, individual needs that maybe the military in general isn't right for you? Personal preference doesn't get a lot of priority in the military. No offense. Also, you are not a PVT, you are a recruit.

Why answer like this? This does nothing to help the person asking the question. You do not know the OP's life or history or WHY he is asking this question. Either answer, or move on. Also, I started drilling before I left for basic training, and they all called me Private. Maybe it wasn't right, but that did not stop my unit. Senior NCO's should be helping recruits and explaining how the military works, not telling them a simple question on a site designed to ask questions is a reason the "military might not be right for them".
