Hey I’m currently a senior in high school who’s a national guard recruit, I signed my first contract August 19th, 2020 my ship date isn’t until June 6th, 2021. I have an opportunity to graduate either January 15th or wait until May. I feel like the National Guard isn’t for me I want to go Active Duty Navy, any advice on how to do it? Or is it even possible?

Switching contracts before shipping can happen but it isn't a light switch. It's takes some doing and takes convincing people to help you out.

If you truly want to jump ship (pun intended) you need to work with the Navy recruiters and impress upon them you are worth the squeeze. They will be a little skeptical out the gate because they see people waffle and/or get cold feet every month. It's on you to decide what's best but it won't be an easy set of obstacles to navigate.
