No, you need a full 4 year degree now. They did away with that a while ago. The OCS Milper will have all the requirements. Don’t remember the number off the top of my head.

The rules change with the needs of the military. When I went through OCS the requirement was 90 hours. They've since bumped it up to having a 4 year degree. Not sure when or if it will change again.

Exactly right MAJ Jim Jones. There are usually some additional limitations/requirements added when they lower any requirements.

Is it true that I can apply for OCS with only 60 credit hours?

For ARNG you need at least 90 credits depending on your state, and must complete your bachelors degree prior to making captain. That can only be done if you are doing the state OCS route, if you want to go to federal OCS you must have a bachelors already.

Is there any states that still allow the 90 credits? I commissioned in the Guard in 1985 and all of my class had degrees.

CPT Lawrence Cable I know CT does but I’m not sure about other states. When I went to OCS some of my classmates from different regions didn’t have complete degrees, same thing at BOLC.

I know for some guard states, you can submit your packet with a 90 credit hours and a graduation plan.
