For in-service soldiers. Are there any 15Ws out there that can maybe confirm this, or maybe help me get into the MOS? I know it's a long shot, but I'm extremely qualified for this MOS and motivated to reclass to it. My career counselor told me to look for other options, but this is the MOS I want.

I'm a little late responding to this but, I was in your same position. You have to get a waiver from the aviation branch to reclass. http://www.rucker.army.mil/usaace/directorates/cdid/opfd/iw_enlisted.html
You will need to get a class IV(4) flight physical, a 4187 that summarizes why you want to switch to that job, your ERB, a JPAS printout, and your PHA must be current/ within the last 12 months. I was told that not many people get in that are in the grade of SGT. If you get the waiver approved getting a class seat will be your next major obstacle. There are only a couple of authorized slots for MOS-T guys and that is split between Army, Guard, and the other Branches Marines/Navy.
If you are serious about switching send me a PM and I will see what I can do to help.

I reclass in August 2017 to 15W. It was kinda of challenging to get a seat, but if you have a good career counselor you should be able to get a seat. If you have any questions, just ask.

I'm still in class I graduate on the 16th. The course is kinda challenging, but not overwhelming.
