You are required to pass height and weight at every NCOES plus any school that's a month or longer.

This is what I'm hearing. You still graduate BLC even if you fail those things, you just wont be honor grad

SSG (Join to see) I've had a number of soldiers returned from BLC for failing APFT. I wouldn't plan on anything but passing.

I know that I’ve been required to pass a 90, 60, 30 day at the unit level prior to school in order to ensure that I pass the one IN SCHOOL. This is to make sure you don’t get a negative 1059 for something like APFT/htwt.

I have heard of 1 soldier who is actually in my unit, that refused to take the final PT test in BCT and AIT and was still allowed to graduate. You can assume how this soldiers PT test are going on in the real Army
Only an idiot would believe that. It is required to meet those standards for every DA school, to include the SGM/CSM courses.

Considering I have to have a PASSING APFT 30 days out from my report date for BLC in a couple months, and I know several people that were sent home due to PT failures I'm going to say someone is lying to you.

This talk have been floating around recently. When PLDC became WLC PT failures still graduated. That's also when they made land Navigation self correcting. This talk now is you can still graduate but not with honors if you fail PT and height and weight.

I know land nav was removed, but this was after someone became lost and ended up losing their life where I am going to the school at. The way any school I have ever been to only a handful had honors anyways and those were the ones that exceled in PT and the classroom.

Please see below an exert from the welcome letter I received for my BLC course
Height/Weight failure: Soldiers are allowed one re-screening. The re-screening will be
administered no earlier than seven days after the initial height/weight assessment
• APFT failure: Soldiers are allowed one retest. The retest will be administered no earlier than seven days after the initial height/weight assessment
• Soldiers who meet academic course requirements, but fail to meet the APFT and/or height and weight standards will be dismissed from the course
• NCOA commandants will not add to the standards of AR 600-9 by imposing any arbitrary percentages to the body fat composition

Every school after basic required a PT test and weigh-in at the very beginning in my experience.
