Is RP helpful in filling your military void?

Ever since I separated from Active Duty earlier this year and transferred to the reserves there has been an empty hole in my life that the military once filled. I do get my Marine Corps fix a weekend a month but in between those drills, I come here to stay engaged.

Yes. I would say it gives us the ability to interact with those like us. I am in the National Guard and am not able to interact with other service members often. This is a chance for me to speak with and discuss issues with my peers and comrades. I greatly enjoy the experience here and only hope to improve it with my posts.

I totally agree with you SGT Northacker. Since discovering RP i now feel a part of a community. RP offers something for us vets that we didn't have much of in the eighties, and that is the sense of community with those outside the branch of service that we served. Being a Marine, I had friends in the Navy, but did not have the sense of community with other branches.
