Yes we are! See your local recruiting office to ask about the prior service business rules. They will be able to help you move forward.

If I was looking at you and your file, my first question would be - Why did he pull the plug? Is he still a quitter? I'm out of the loop, but with the draw downs and such today I'm guessing you'd better have a lot to bring back to the table.
I hope you get what you want, and this time stick with it if that's what you want. You get back in, you need to set some long term and short term goals. If you don't get AD, then don't waste your time, the Reserve or Guard is a great way to serve and not waste what you've already done.

It changes all the time with HRC businesses rules. try your local recruiting center. But with the draw down probably not. They (Big Army) see it like you had your chance to stay in. But usually the Reserves are looking for Prior Service.

And of course it all depends on your RE Code on your DD-214.

I'm also looking to come back on Active Duty. I have a BA, 9 years of AFS and I'm ready to ship after a living abroad for six months on vacation.

I'd check the army business rules from what I see they are taking prior service.

Also make sure you have a clean record or one that does not constitute the need for a misconduct waiver. PS looking to re-enter the US Army are not currently eligible for them...if anyone's heard different as of april 2016 pm me. Thanks.
