I had an account on there for a couple of days. And then it said my account was canceled. I guess 21 years of active duty was not enough, and being a life member of VFW is not good enough? I am worried this is a scammer affiliate? Do not know if it is real. I probably should have looked on RP to see if anyone else had heard of the organization.

SSgt GG-15 RET Jim Lint I recently received an email form VFW saying they were doing away with this service. At least Im pretty sure it was this one. They said with social media apps such as Facebook, they felt there was no longer a need for this service. I went looking for the email but I must have deleted it.

Thanks. Seems smart to use the free Social Media...Why spend the money, recruit members, that are already on FB. Also, my post is China Post 1, Am Legion. We are in exile since 1948 because the communist took our post home, but our guys got out alive. So, we do use email and social media. We set up private closed groups for various locations and our worldwide organization. It can work.

You sign up and you create your own group. You make yourself the admin and host the discussions. Interesting.

You’re a CI. Don’t get old on me now. I would think the local lodge would know. Not in the news letter? Looked legit to me.

I do not see a connection to the VFW website and had that funny feeling that it might be a scam. You know CI guys are over sensitive....They did not get much info nor request much info...but still waiting to see if someone else was a member. (I am double retired, it is time for me to get old and lazy...if not know, when?) I always thought I would keep running in retirement...but when the two hips got replaced...I started getting lazy...kicked the extra weight off, and getting unlazy. Stay strong when you hit your 30!

I think it might be a VFW member that stated it. It really hasn’t taken up a lot of steam yet. Very few members in the different “rooms.”
