My wife brought up the SWAPS program to me. I heard it being brought up at work the other day. Is that still a thing?

Swaps is not an acronym, there's no swaps program. Two Soldiers can request a permissive reassignment with each other. They each have to fund the complete costs of the PCS and are not authorized to claim any PCS entitlements and HRC has to approve

You will need to find another 25S in your rank that wants to go to your unit.

I am not sure honestly. I have never seen or heard anyone do it before in my time in. I’m sure trying to find someone who wants to go to where you are will take some time especially if you don’t know anyone in your MOS at the duty station you want to go to. SPC (Join to see)
