Looking for someone in the army 68f mos to answer a couple questions I have come across while trying to decide on an MOS. Is there a long wait time to start AIT for 68f? Is it a rare MOS that is hard to get into? And do they deploy frequently? What

The wait time depends on when the class is going to start. There are 3 classes taught in a year, so as far as waiting goes.. sometimes.
It can be hard to get into only because your GT score needs to be at least 110.
Deployments depends on your unit.

Thank you! Do you have any insight into the types of deployment? Are they to FOBs or just unaccompanied or both? Can I ask what time of year you were at AIT? I’m hoping to head to basic this fall but I’d rather no be waiting for AIT to start for 3 months.

I’m not 100% sure on the deployments. I know that they do both, but again it depends on where you are assigned.
I got to AIT in June, so I was technically the last class of the year.

What do you want do with your life? Is physical therapy something that you think that you would enjoy doing? Physical therapists play an important role in a patient's recovery. When I was deployed to Iraq in 2004 I had to see a physical therapist a couple of times due to an injury to a soleus tendon. If being a physical therapist is what you really want to do then the wait time will be worth it. Good luck.

They need medical people badly
Yes they deploy often. Think about becoming a pa. Warrant Officer. The air force makes them captains. I would go the air force route.

Is it a long wait? It's as long a wait as the class date you get. It might be a year from now. AIT class seats are a finite resource, so it's first come first serve. But it's a small MOS with very limited class seats so you might not get lucky enough to land one. If you deploy just depends where you get assigned.
