Is there a way that all of our veterans service organizations to have a joint meeting?

I belong to The American Legion and know of a bunch of veterans not signed up for this and other organizations. Last meeting we had there were only 20 people that showed up. There were a lot of people in the hospital or died for old aged issues. We need some more veterans in these groups. Isn’t there a way to have a convention to showcase VSO activities so we can get the word out?

I just keep seeing everywhere about membership dropping and we don't need that. We need to get new members in all of the organizations.

What in interesting idea! (Not kidding, I mean, for real!) A National VSO Conference (NaVSOC?) could be something that could bring VSO organizations and members together. Hey, RP Members, what do y'all think?

One thing our American Legion Post 208, Millis, MA does do is every Thursday, all year We have coffee e for anyone that is a veteran of the US Armed Forces, You do not have to be a Legion member, just a Veteran. Its only a social gathering, not a formal meeting but We all enjoy it and attendance is pretty good. We do get guys that join our post which is after going sometimes which We don't mind but that wasn't the object. We have been doing that gathering every Thursday morning quite a few years.
