Is there a way to change what I see when I bring up RP?

I am sure that this is not a new question ( I apologize in advance), but is there a way to 'filter' what I see when I open or refresh RP? I hate to be a whiner, but if I wanted to see three pages of cats, flowers or landscapes, I can go to about a million other social media sites, it is not something that I personally prefer to see, maybe I'd feel different if it didn't happen EVERY DAY.

Yes, what you see in your feeds is based primarily on the contacts you make. If some of the contacts you make post something you don't like, you should remove them from your contacts. When removing a contact, they are NOT notified.
Your RP feed is built exactly based on who your contacts are and what content you engage in.

SPC(P) Jay Heenan - We're also building an "unfollow" feature, if you want to stay contacts with somebody but just not see them in the feeds.

LTC Yinon Weiss - Major, I'm seeing updates from someone who isn't a contact. It this a bug?

SN Greg Wright - Not necessarily. That can happen one of two ways:
1) If your contacts comment on somebody else's post, then you will see it too. For example, it may say "Contact 1 and Contact 2 participated in this discussion."
2) If somebody posts in a topic or group that you regularly engage in, then it may be in your feed. For example, it may say "Discussion posted in GROUP/TOPIC"
The more you engage with certain contacts and certain topics, the more your feed will show you those people and topics. The top of every feed item tells you why it appears in your feed.
If you don't have enough contacts, RallyPoint may also draw from similar members to show you, but that goes away once you have active contacts.
