This is a serious but not so serious post about what lessons ISIS might've learned when they Messed with Texas. What are you thoughts??

"Authorities say the suspects, identified as Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi, drove up to the building where the contest was being held in the Dallas suburb of Garland and opened fire. An unarmed school district security guard was wounded before a Garland police officer returned fire and killed both men."

So they drove up to the gate and basically committed suicide by cop. Nothing was accomplished except for two more terrorists sent to hell. I like that outcome. And really, why should we give a rats about hurting their wittle feewings when they are hell bent to kill us all???

GOOD Jesus baby Christ....

AND PS!! I know we have a LOT of bright people here.... ISIS CLAIMS!!! CLAIMS!!! So some will get what I am asking.... Good God all mighty... I have ELABORATED. Jesus

CLAIM: state or assert that something is the case, typically without providing evidence or proof.

ISIS propaganda seems to be taking cues from Brian Williams as well as Joseph Goebbells - Nazi minister of Information.
Like Brian Williams some of their reporting is accurate. And like Brian Williams they tend to claim responsibility for and participation during events after the fact that may have been influenced by them or not.
ISIS seems to be following Joseph Goebbels lead when he said: “The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over.”
“We shall go down in history as the greatest statesmen of all time,or as the greatest criminals” also fits ISIS very well.
Millions of lives were lost in the war that resulted in the defeat of the Nazis. I hope that the loss of life will be significantly less by the time ISIS is defeated. I hope that something akin to the Simon Wiesenthal who will be hunting down and bringing to justice those ISIS criminals that escaped the noose so to speak. They should have planned their hit in Illinois or California or Maryland or Washington DC where the people aren't allowed to be armed and the laws prevent them from defending themselves or others from lethal threats.

Secondary is that using tier three information warfare they executed it perfectly because now the liberals are talking about how gun happy Texas is - which may have been their goal to subvert any popular support for Texas gun laws by making the ISIS guys seem to be the misunderstood freedom fighter/victim.

They just learned the hard way that there is a reason for the saying, "Don't mess with Texas."

I'm also kind of insulted that they attempted this with those two amateurs. It was Texas after all. You'll need a small army to put a dent in anything.

I think they learned that screwing with Texas is going to require a much bigger stick to swing. They picked a state that literally has more guns than human population. Texas has a history of a violence of action. I don't really think ISIS had anything to do with it so much as they just wanted to see if they could scare anyone by claiming they did so ISIS could say they had proof of insurgents in the states. That plan has a tendency to backfire when the best they could do was injure a rent-a-cop and get obliterated by a small town cop. Rioters in Baltimore are a bigger threat to national security than your "jihadists." Stick to attacking 3rd world countries.

I think CPL Hayes post is almost directly on the mark, world's dumbest terrorist... I found it comical that Isis said other text would be even bigger and more vicious. the fact that a 60 year old police officer armed with only his service revolver ended the attack, and their lives, in only 19 seconds makes that claim far less terrifying.

Had I known there were going to be some terrorists in the local vicinity while I was on the George Bush I would have turned south. But by the time I heard it on the news the tangos were already down. Great job Garland PD.

ISIS probably didn't learn much more than they already know about us. Their whole purpose is to instill terror and fear in their enemy. You make people hyper vigilant and you will see those same people turn on each other because of fear of what is hidden.
ISIS, Taliban, Boko Harum, etc., they all just want to instill fear of what will happen next and get the people paranoid.
On other sites you see Texans full of bravado about how you don't mess with Texas, were that true ISIS would never have messed with Texas, they would have stuck a softer, easier target.
