I'll be honest, I am happy that gay marriage has been legalized in the country.
As far as the flag on the South Carolina grounds. That flag flies over the tomb of the confederate soldier buried there and flies in homage to the South Carolinians that fought and died during the civil war.
Just for fun let's say that the battle colors do actually represent hate, then why can you buy the Isis flag, Nation of Islam flag, black panther flag, nazi swastika, and other flags that actually have major supporters behind them. So let's boycott those flags that actually do stand for racism and terrorism.
In addition, if they really do remove the confederate battle colors then why should the states with flags that have ties to the confederate stars and bars still be the same? They should have to change their flag too. Even 6 flags amusement park should change their name to 5 flags.

Don't worry, SPC (Join to see), "they" are working on eliminating those other flags as well. Some nut - and he was a national figure - actually said that the U.S. flag is offensive and should be brought down. I hope that "we" will stop before we get to that point.
And, for the record, I think the Confederate flag belongs in a museum, not flying over the South Carolina state capitol.

In my personal opinion, CW5 (Join to see) , we need to stop the focus on flags and start focusing on moving forward as a country. As long as people are ignorantly focused on the unimportant and the media drowns the common people in mindless crap, the nation will stay ignorant while the higher ups do whatever they want. We should be focused on politics and educate ourselves instead of hop on every freaking bandwagon to point fingers.
And the flag does not fly over the Capitol, as I stated previously it flies next to the tomb/monument of the soldier. Should we get rid of the Washington monument because he owned slaves. Or how about we demolish half of Mount Rushmore because two of the faces owned slaves, Jefferson and Washington.
All of this supposed "race hate" is getting annoying and is becoming the unfortunate center point for everything.

Now that's funny, CPT Bruce Rodgers!! I heard on the Radio that the White House was rainbow colored. They didn't say if it was just a picture or lights or what. Going a bit far, IMHO, but that decision was a homerun for President Obama, so I guess anything's possible.
It was lights. I'm shaking my head over this one. Okie doke. Good to go. I'm soldierin' on through this one.

White House, buildings across the country light up in rainbow colors to celebrate gay rights
The White House is illuminated in rainbow colors. “Tonight, the White House was lit to demonstrate our unwavering commitment to progress and equality, here in America and around the world,” the White House said in a statement. “The pride colors reflect the diversity of the LGBT community, and tonight
