I wish I could find a better source for this video, but a Facebook link is the best I can do. Basically, it reports that you are 7X more likely to be murdered, 15X more likely to be killed in an auto accident, and 42X more likely to be raped than to experience excessive police brutality. Other sources of crime statistics that I've checked seem to bear out the facts presented in this video.

First, you need to define brutality. Just because an officer uses force on a suspect does not mean it is brutality, even though many uninformed people think it is. I am a Police Officer and have had to use all levels of force during my career and I can guarantee it has never been judge as brutality even though some have tried o call it that.

I spent over 30 years as a police officer in a Southern city and I donhdt use force (nightstick) more the once or twice a year. Police bruitility is an excuse for the individuals poor decisions and conduct. How can a criminal expect to win fighting 3 or 4 cops? Are there cops who use excessive once? Yes but they are a monority and don't last long. Now you want to se Police Bruitility? Take on a couple of MPs on a Saturday night in Columbus Georgia in the early 50s. Now THATS bruitility. :):)

Here's A Clue:

US police don't end up solving most crimes - Insider
http://www.insider.com/police-dont-solve-most-violent...
The data suggest that most of the other 54.5% of violent crimes and 82.4% of property crimes in 2018 went unsolved, though there are a few caveats to the FBI's data that are important to note — namely, that it's possible some of those crimes will be solved in subsequent years for which the FBI has not yet published data.

"Comparing Crime Rates Between Undocumented Immigrants, Legal ...
http://www.ojp.gov/library/publications/comparing-crime...
The study found that undocumented immigrants had substantially lower crime rates than native-born citizens and legal immigrants across a range of felony offenses. Relative to undocumented immigrants, U.S.-born citizens are over 2 times more likely to be arrested for violent crimes, 2.5 times more likely to be arrested for drug crimes, and over 4 times more likely to be arrested for property crimes."

Personally, I would support a Federal Study that looks deeply into this matter, nationwide. With that said, I suspect the results might be somewhat disappointing to certain people who are not in the right.

Follow the Officer's instructions. Be polite and courteous; or, at the very least, be civil. It's okay to know your rights and advise the Officer of them but be sure of your legal facts; what might seem like your right could be very much otherwise under the circumstances.

The Officer does not know you; you are a stranger, who could do anything, including harm the Officer or anybody else. The Officer has only statistics associated with your population group. Your safety, the Officer's safety, and the safety of everybody nearby depends on a smooth, civil interaction between you and the Officer.

Do this, and your chances of being harmed drop to below being struck by lightning.
