A Texas college teen is inspired by one of our former great presidents, Teddy Roosevelt, and goes on to accomplish what many could only dream of doing. She goes on a legal safari and successfully hunts. She proudly displays her accomplishments and, because a few people consider it "inappropriate", Facebook
promptly takes her photos down? Really!? These people should spend their time and energy on taking down something truly illegal, like the sexploitation of our youth!

If vegetarians love animals so much, then why do they eat all their food?

I LOVE that picture... reminds me of how I feel when someone suddenly understands what I am saying... like my daughters.

There are many that are simply put off by anything related to hunting - of any sort. It's been my experience, based on multiple head banging sessions with said types of individuals, that those against hunting are usually those who have (a) never hunted (b) never had to do without (i.e.- always had food on the table) (c) have never had to do much for themselves. Yes, that's generalizing, but it's based on personal experience.

One has to look at hunting in much the same way one does combat. If you've "been there, done that" and you've tried to explain it to someone who has never experienced it you run up against what I call the "blank wall". The individual you're trying to explain "what is" to, just has no point of reference to even begin to understand. Oh, they try to understand - but there's just no way to explain the mind crippling fear, the out of body experience, the numbness, the unf&*(ing unbelieveable anger, the hands and body shaking as if they had minds of their own, the realization you shit and pissed yourself and never knew it and didn't care and the pure unadultered joy of sitting next to your buddies after you realize that you're still alive.

There's just no way to describe it to someone who hasn't "been there, done that".

So, those who have never experienced hunting have no way / no point of reference.

Plus, IMHO, they're just clueless.

PO1 (Join to see) you are spot on, I just try to do what I can to point the injustice of it all. If America is to become the land of the free, we must as a society be more accepting of those that are different than ourselves. Those people that disagreed with her posting should choose to just not visit her page. It wasn't as if she took out full page ads in the paper. It was her personal page, where she should be comfortable and free to post anything (within company policy) I think Facebook was too strict in its interpretation of said policy in order to avoid bad press.

What I can't stand is the one's that are against hunting and don't understand that now it is needed to control the population of many species!

They are the same ones that hide in the urban neighborhoods and cry to animal control when I wild animal enters their yard!

They are the same ones that overpopulate the planet causing the lost of areas for the wild to roam!

They are same ones that are blind to hear, that thousands of deer die a year from starvation do to the growing areas of people......

They are the same ones who are blind and don't see the facts of the real world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While I personally disagree with Facebook removing something that is not sexually explicit, immoral, or vulgar, it is not our website. The website is owned by stockholders. They determine what is and is not appropriate in the end. Telling a business we disagree with their policies is fine, but when all is said and done, we can't really force the business to do anything.

SFC (Join to see) true, but I wasn't trying to force FB to do anything, I just wanted to see if I was the only one that felt this was wrong.
