I joined at 17 (1962). I should have waited another year and listened to what my father had to say about the military. Typical kid, I didn’t listen.

Now it's a shell of what it used to be, but back in the 80's and 90's, holy cow!

I would tell myself to stay in and make a good career for myself, work hard for my promotions, and be the best i could be. The Military definitely gave me what I needed to get a better start in life.

To Stay in the U.S ARMY

Get all your docs and a good lawyer when you have experienced rape because back in the 70 s nobody gave a hoot especially my CO who just so happened to be a female. Go figure.

Start investing sooner. Ask for items in writing during enlistment.
