If overseas spend more time site seeing than drinking in barracks. Take advantage of the free college classes giving.

Don't change a thing. All of your mistakes and all of your successes are because of what you have done, good or bad. I personally know that if I changed a certain thing that messed up my time in the service I would never have met my wife of 36 years. That means I would not have my children and grandchildren. I am not ashamed of what I have done in my past. I learned from my mistakes and it has made me who I am and that I am proud of.

I was drafted! Best thing that ever happened. I had no direction; my future was to be mundane at best. The Army gave me a home, a family, a future. I took advantage and made a 22 year career. I made a few miscalculations, but all in all no regrets.

Study for WAPS testing ( for real)... and save money. And always drink beer in dark bottles
( that way you can refill them with water and you will re main sober while every one around you is trashed) this will avoid a lot of problems later on

Listen and learn from the leaders that will be training you. No matter how smart you think you are, you can always learn something new. Remember, you have committed yourself to a way of life unlike anything you have ever experienced and above all, duty, honor, and country should always remain in the forefront of your mind.
