Maybe it is just some mental defect I have but fishing is boring to me. I would rather watch a friend fish than actually fish.
You get the same fellowship without the argument about who caught more or the largest fish. Sometimes it is a tie.

The coolest place I ever got to fish was in South Korea. I had never fly fished before. I hired a guide recommended by USO of all things. He had grown up In Montana and had a Korean wife. He was not prior service. But this guy knew his $h(t! I wish for the life of me I could remember his name.

The most I ever caught fishing was a 4in shad and a boot. I like swimming better.
