I have had significant hearing loss and one of the request by the VA is to look for "buddy certificates". Active duty friends seem to have scattered to the winds. I keep in touch with one but she can't verify what I need for this.

The VA denied my claim for tinnitus even though my MOS was organizational level and I spent hours on the flight-line and flight-deck while in and around aircraft. They claimed I lacked evidence for a valid claim. Yet, my son who worked in logistics was given a disability rating for the same condition and he didn't spend a quarter of the time around aircraft.

Edit: Their system of claims approval sucks.

Other than "Buddy Certificates" through Active duty friends are there other supporting documents? A map that shows your proximity to the flightline as well as an old appointment letter?

Dumb question alert!
Do you also have facebook and are canvassing through your friends list as well?
