Many of us were Retired or Veterans on 9-11-2001. What were you doing and where where you when you learned about the Terrorist Acts?

I was a student at University of North Carolina, Greensboro taking Midterm Exams.  I had just finished one and was on the way to a second when we found out what was happening.  Needless to say, exams and school were canceled for the day.  When I contacted my local recruiter, I was told that retired people were not needed and would not be called back to Active Duty at present.
