Trump cares and respects the military unlike Hillary. Hillary would always throw us under the bus.

Trump’s disrespect of veterans began long before the current election cycle. On the Howard Stern show back in 1997, sandwiched in between a bunch of embarrassing comments about women, Trump compared his sex life in the 1980s to a war experience.
“I’ve been so lucky in terms of that whole world. It is a dangerous world out there – it’s scary, like Vietnam. Sort of like the Vietnam era. It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave soldier,” Trump bloviated.

I support no one & will vote for no one for the first time in 52 years of voting, which is incredibly sad for me. I firmly believe Clinton violated national security rules & put our national security at risk. I absolutely believe she is unfit to be president for many reasons. However, Trump is the most vile, demeaning, derogating, racist, incoherent & unknowledgeable candidate in my lifetime. Wait until all of you find out that he is not going to do like so many have said, "he tells it like it is." The previous leaks about not building a wall, etc. from his NYT's interview will become manifest in his campaign. Also, wait until he screws over the military, law enforcement, and veterans like he has done to so many in his career as a "businessman." Johnson, the Libertarian, wants to pardon the traitor, Snowden, and eliminate the National Security Agency. I have never seen three more candidates so dangerous to the security of the United States. God forgive us for allowing these people to be the nominees.

This election is about electing the lesser of two evils. Having said that, Hillary would be a disaster for our military and our country. Trump may have pulled off some shady deals, but Hillary has no soul or conscience, and she lies like a rug!

Because he'll get rid of all those losers who screw up & get captured ... And I'm sure he'll get rid of that stupid Posse Comitatus stuff...
And just because Claire Underwood doesn't like the military doesn't mean that she would use matters of international affairs for personal & political gain... Oh sorry that was a typo I get confused with names.
I used to think that the military (officers in particular) should restrain from voting to preserve impartiality to the commander in chief. Now it's more out of futility.
I take comfort in my unfounded belief that no person is stronger than the republic.

Both Candidates are the worst. Were screwed either way I see comments that Trump, would do good for the Military, he doesn't know one damn thing about us. Neither does Hillary. Neither are going to win with My Vote.. I'm going to vote for Gary Johnson.

Well then how about the Repubs come up with a candidate that is worth a fuck for voting for this is drastic. DEMOS are not any better, Really Major Dury our country is going to run by RUMPS kids UDA AND CUSA Trump. RUMP is an EGO maniac just dying for attention. Besides, if the other side plays to the Latinos, Blacks, Chinese, Young and everyone elses he's offended he won't win then were going to be stuck with Clinton. And GOD help us at that point.

You are absolutely correct Col. Edwards. I am a WW Two veteran living in a VA Nursing Home with service disabled veterans of six different wars that have been fought during my lifetime. The honor and integrity that each one of us learned in the military still exists here today. Age and color doesn't matter here as we look on each other as brothers. I served in the Navy in WW Two and in the Army in Germany during the Berlin Airlift. Both changed me from a snot nosed boy into a man and I am thankful for my service.

This is not surprising, most military personnel are conservative and republican. I'm one of the few liberal Democrats I know in my circle of Military friends.

Well, I'm more of a classic liberal on social issues but I sure as hell am not a Democrat. Also, you'll not find me supporting or defending modern American liberal positions as they are typically unhealthy.

It's due to a few factors:

1. People in the nation, and particularly the military, are long past tired of progressive politics.
2. Trump says what a lot of people, including careerists, are thinking. Love him or hate him, the guy says what he thinks and some of it is indeed done with the bombastic signature he's famous for. Believe it or not, that's his charm.
3. As polemic a figure as Trump is, if elected, he will HAVE to work with Congress, and they with him, if we're ever to work our way out of the quaqmire of stagnation and despondency our nation's been in for the last several years. I don't see Hillary working with Congress, not least due to the tremendous amount of personal and political baggage she's carrying.
4. As ironic as it sounds, the guy known for the phrase, "You're fired!", will have to be, above all things, willing and able to find common ground with Capitol Hill. The art of the compromise is dormant and has been since Obama took office. As I said above, until or unless that changes, things will only stay as they are or get worse.
5. The next president of the United States has a tremendous set of challenges ahead of him or her. I don't think a lot of people in the nation and the nation's military are convinced Hillary has the chops to do this. I'm one of those people.

Fire when ready.

Is there any question as to why? Does the obvious really have to be spelled out? ???

Because apparently 1/3 of the military apparently has no clue and would rather vote for crooked Hillary or waste a vote on an independent candidate that doesn't stand a snowball's chance in Hell of winning!

For me it's equity, if ANYONE in uniform did half of what Hillary's done it would be discharge and/or confinement! She and and the Clinton machine make Stalin's NKVD look like Boy Scouts!

My personal viewpoint is, No military experience, no right to run for President.
How can you be Commander in Chief if you don't respect the military and haven't a clue what it's about.

Only problem this time around is there isn't a veteran on any ticket to vote for, I wish we did have a better choice.
