If you have what was your experience? I believe, I have learned, after being an amateur type underground fighter, never professional, because I just liked to fight for no reason, but against those of similar height and weight, no bullying smaller less defensed weaker opponents, the world would be a great deal better if it was run by the ethics of Martial Artists.

I just had a friend and former training partner sign a multi-fight contract with UFC yesterday. His name is Joey Gomez, a former Marine infantryman. His first fight is in Boston on January 17.

UFC Fight Night 81 - Dillashaw vs. Cruz. Your boy is on the preliminary card showing on UFC Fight Pass. Looks like his fight is second in the lineup, a bantamweight bout against Rob Font.

I have friends going. I'd love to, but UFC events are ridiculously expensive.

Yes they are. A few years ago my wife and I went to Las Vegas to see Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin fight. Tickets alone were over $200 all together.

I haven't seen any of those guys fight but I did meet Tim Kennedy last February at the Fort Hood Clothing Sales facility. Really neat guy.

Never heard of them. We just had some non-UFC visit our TB in Afghanistan. They were pros, just not under contract with the UFC.

PO3 Aaron Hassay - I have been doing BJJ for about 4 months, Bronze at my first tournament, and am absolutely loving it. When my business partner returns from Thailand in the spring, we will be relaunching his Muay Thai studio. I did several years of MMA training (but no tournaments) and traditional karate way back when.
I've got to say that I find BJJ and Muay Thai to be the most fun. In hindsight, I wish I'd wrestled in high school.

I suggest anyone, who is a military guy and now a UFC guy martial artist to take serious inversion table(hanging by your feet everyday) take pressure off all your joints mixed in with about 30 minutes or so up to an hour of stretching, which is basically yoga...so learn the basics of yoga through online videos and your life will get better slowly...sometimes in combat sports we think it is all go go go force force force..but sometimes you need the Trojan horse and like do a bit of meditation and secret type therapy that gives you an edge mentally and physically..but unfortunately..i believe military training only teaches you go go go force force force a lot of times..and therapy is lost...
