My ERB says that I am a SGT now and I made the list on the 1st. Am I able to pin myself?

Okay so I made the list and everything for promotion and my ERB had updated to say I am an
e-5 now but no one is here because everyone is on block leave and I have re-classed and am going to AIT in just a few days. What should I do? Should I pin myself and show up to AIT as a SGT or should I just wait until I come back from AIT to my unit to start clearing post and have my unit pin me then?

SPC Angela Burnham
But I'm confused SFC (Join to see), is that according to his ERB in this situation?

SFC (Join to see)
SPC Angela Burnham if HRC promoted him that's this correct rank. You don't want to show up at a school wearing the wrong rank

Double check your email and iPerms for promotion orders before you self pin.

Have not received any orders as of yet. That was why I was mainly worried about this. All my army accounts now say SGT and the effective date was on the 1st but no one has been at my unit since the end of June so i doubt my IPERMS would have even been updated by S1.

SPC(P) (Join to see) - I'd say wait until you have orders in hand. Because, if you show up to AIT with SGT on but all their paperwork is showing SPC for you, you could end up with headaches you don't want/need.

One, verify that your ERB is correct. Two, look for a copy of your promotion orders, verify and print them out. Three, call your AIT and enquire as your unit is on block leave.
Most likely they will tell you to pin it on. The ceremony is a mere formality, not necessary.

Have not yet received promotion orders from either my email nor IPERMS. If I had them I would have already called my AIT to ask about it. ERB is correct I'm sure since I made the promotion list.

SPC(P) (Join to see) you've had several solid recommendations for how to obtain your orders. Follow up with those. Congratulations.
