Once you are locked into an assignment, you should receive an email from the Army Career Tracker system that requests the individual to fill out Department of the Army Form 5434, Sponsorship Program Counseling and Information Sheet. Do you have orders or anything yet or just an update on your erb?

SPC (Join to see) - Sorry. I know the first PCS feeling. It's new and you don't know what to expect and you different things from different people. Things will work out though. I'd you don't have a sponsor reply here and someone will help you in the future. If you have any non-unit related questions about Korea feel free to ask. I've lived here for almost 5 years now.

You are going to Korea. Unless it’s changed pin points at your grade mean little. You will show up and report to a replacement company. From there your real pin point orders are cut. Don’t sweat it. Enjoy Korea did 3 of my 8 and a half years there. Loved it

That response is in no way helpful. The service member is asking how to obtain a sponsor, not about where she will be assigned.

Congrats on getting Korea, hope I'll get to go there someday.
Still in AIT, do you have orders yet? If not I wouldn't worry about it until you do. Also, be prepared to stay in AIT a bit longer after you graduate if your graduation date is before your ship date. Happened to a few guys I knew.

EDIT

Of course it will be before your ship date, but you might not leave immediately is my meaning.

SSG Lyle O'Rorke -

How about you provide a good influence for young Soldiers heading to Korea for the first time?

Especially considering the fact that if they wake up in a field on a Saturday morning then a curfew violation has been committed and said soldier could lose rank and much more.

You can have fun while still maintaining Military Bearing.

SSG James Benhke,

I was was just pointing out that you don't have to be afraid of the ville, and while yes it may have been a curfew violation for most people, some people myself included had exceptions to policies that allowed us to have to follow the curfew rule so in my case I was not breaking the rules but was simply enjoying myself. Quite being a stick in the mud.

In 20 years of service, 4 overseas moves (PCS's) and 4 stateside I never had a sponsor. A couple of times once I arrived I would get someone for a couple of days to show me around but that was it.
