My mother, widow of Korean War vet, is considering moving into assisted living facility. What support or benefits are available to her?

Sir take her to the local VSO= Veterans Service officer they are local and the visit it free. Each county is supposed to have one. Take all paper work and Id's and they can tell her and you what Help she can get.

Assuming your mother has never re-married, I would highly suggest that she contact a veteran service office to walk her through the available benefits.

There are benefits and they are all based on income. The other replies are correct, visit the VSO in your county and you can get all of the documents you need.
