If your wife wants to take part in military discussions, she could see her local Army recruiter and enlist. ;)
Although I appreciate/respect many spouses comments, there are many avenues in which spouses can discuss topics of their choosings...and if you've taken part in these discussions, you'll know why there should be discussions separation. :)

COL Vincent Stoneking
SGT Riser,
In all seriousness, that is why I think this idea could have value. For a lot of spouses, especially of Reservists (where I always focus, what can I say....), it is difficult to find a non-threating place to ask "newbie" questions.

SSG Burns, if you can police up some ideas re: use cases that your wife might want to have on a similar site for spouses, please send them directly to me in a message. Thanks!

LTC Stephen C.
SSG Robert Burns, here's your answer! I'm glad too, because my response was to be "you're on your own!"

That sounds like a great idea. I would hope you dont have to be a member to read posts because that would be very entertaining. Once in awhile I see posts where people are pulling rank and threatening others. I would love to see I am a colonel's wife I will make you life hell post.

better yet I would love to see the resume print-out feature enabled for them. That would probably be an amazing read.....lol

There is a facebook page designed for army wives - The lady who started the page has put a bunch of hard work into it & has many wives posting all kinds of stuff. Seems to be a helpful page to get answers to questions .....
Army Wife 101 - Has been around for awhile & has a decent following. It's a blog with almost 42000 likes

Facebook is a social utility that connects people with friends and others who work, study and live around them. People use Facebook to keep up with friends, upload an unlimited number of photos, post ...

Bad idea. First spouses don't have the rights that military members do because they didn't sign the dotted line. If they want privileges on RallyPoint then they can enlist.
If they want to connect with other spouses they can use FaceBook. I don't want to seem out of place when I say this, but military spouses are catty and create a lot of drama. My wife is on a few FaceBook pages that are strictly for Army Wives. She tells me all the time what other Army wives say, both of topic from the original post and this that are too childish.
I don't think spouses should have the rights we do, when we have so few of them. RallyPoint is for military members both past and present as well as the civilians that are connected and wanting to help.

In addition to Facebook, I thought there were a multitude of such sites for spouse support and networking. Don't they always cram them down our throats in the pre-deployment briefings?
This is OUR MAN CAVE!! Lol
