OMAHA, Neb. —The Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles will begin issuing military honor license plates to those who have served, or currently serve, on active duty.

Starting Jan. 2, 2016, the plates will be available to those who have served or are serving in the:

U.S Army
Air Force
Coast Guard
Marine Corps
National Guard
or Navy

Six designs will be obtainable, one for each branch listed.

Very cool plates. Montana has service plates as well. Nebraska's are better looking.

Here in AZ, we have Veteran plates. I'd love a branch specific one though.

A little "pricey", but awesome idea. If I lived in Nebraska I would get one. Hoorah, Nebraska!

They offer it here in Nevada and they also offer Veteran Driver Licenses as well.

Attractive design. Hopefully the branch emblem is a separate plate versus a sticker like Oregon uses.

Washington State has similar plates for military folks. Sadly, our Disabled Vet plates are ugly as all getout, and don't have the Handicap Symbol for parking as an option...
