Governor Pat McCory in his State of the State address yesterday proposed a Military and Veterans Department within the state. The purpose for the department is to fight for military bases in the state as well as for veteran and military family affairs.

Especially with proposed BRAC and cuts to manpower Gov. McCory is watching out for the interests of the state and the military population within the state.

Good Stuff. with all those retirees and the second largest Army base and those other bases they should be doing great things for the vets! Good stuff NC! Lead from the front!
