The power of the Executive Order...

Now in all seriousness, it's hard to said that Obama is solely responsible for some of these turn arounds. As we know, some of the programs put in place by Presidents throughout history have taken years to produce outcomes while others fell straight on their faces. I'm not trying to say he didn't play any role but you can't discount the efforts put in by the Presidents ahead of him. It will be interesting to see how the next President takes over and either continues these upward trends or to the results of programs before their time and during their time result in another "economic correction".

President Obama has been very successful at destroying the fabric which made this country great. He's been successful at using race and income/wealth differences to Balkanize the nation. Successful at pushing his job killing and business destroying environ-Mental agenda down our throats using the EPA. His success at bartering a nuclear arms deal with a terror exporting nation will ring a sour note in years to come. His administrations success at covering up a long train of scandals is legendary. Oh yes, he's been successful alright. Any more and there won't be a country left.

That MSgt VanDerwilt is an understatement to the MAX...

Should we name the first Crater made by an Atomic Bomb in this Country, after President O'Bama... anybody want to second that...

I just hope it falls on or near Chicago... One because it would serve him right to be "the recipient" of the first Nuke to fall on US soil and it my very well cure some other problems in the "vicinity". I know... that's pretty cold... almost as cold as his Administration has been to the Country as a whole.

Oh and maybe we should rename Detroit... "O'Bamaville"... and Change the name of the EPA to the "Economic Ruin Administration"... Cuz if it continues the way it's going, it's going to destroy what's left of the country's economy... if the North Koreans or Iran don't set off an "EMP" device over our heads and finish us off first... while he dithers...

If you adhere to the progressive philosophy then I guess Mr. Obama makes an adequate President. If, however, you believe that you should be able to keep that which you have worked for, shouldn't be lied to about what is programs will do and cost, if you believe you law should be read and understood before it is bullied through the legislative branchs and then, if it is none the less passed, the President should enforce it not give waivers where ever he felt it politically expedient. If you believe the President is a King or Emperor and can do anything he wants without following the rules set forth in the Constitution of the United States then you must really like President Obama.

President Obama will be remembered as one among the top 5 or 10 presidents.

How stupid are people who cannot see that FINALLY getting universal healthcare in this country decades after every other developed country in the world has it is a fabulous achievement.

SOCIALISM!!! OMG!!! Foreswear it!

It is socialism to build roads and schools and infrastructure. Are those not things that -people- must cooperate on to accomplish? It is socialism to provide loans for students and money for research.
You’ve been brainwashed by people who care nothing about you or your health or your children.

Ya’ll need to wake up. Finally. Wake up.

"...and Socialist governments traditionally do make a financial mess. They [socialists] always run out of other people's money. It's quite a characteristic of them."
-- PM Margaret Thatcher

What a fine mess we are in. (p)Resident Obama chastised President Bush for his spending and called it "irresponsible" and "unpatriotic." That was before he got elected. After getting elected he added more to the National Debt in 4 years than G.W. Bush did over eight and blamed his spending on Bush. Our National Debt of over $19 trillion now exceeds our GDP of $17.4 trillion. We are literally on the verge of going bankrupt!!! Obama owns that. He made lots of promises and said he was going to fix the economy in 4 years. Ooops. Didn't happen. Not that he cares. He has more pressing matters to attend to -- like taking Air Force One out and going on yet another golfing vacation on the taxpayers dime. The ONLY thing Obama has succeeded in doing [which is what he's been trying to do since being elected], is to decrease America's standing and diminish our influence around the globe.

Capt. Jeff; Let's give El President`e credit where credit is due... He has certainly "devalued" our influence, our dollar and He's spent more than all other Presidents before him combined! If that's not a record I don't know what is! The National Debt will probably be somewhere between $22 and $25 Trillion dollars by the time he leaves office and our Great, Great, Grand Children will still be paying for it when they're old an gray.

I'm sorry, has anything Obama done been a raving success? He didn't have enough signatures to get his name on the ballots of several states, but his campaign forged enough signatures to get his name on the ballot. Would you call that a successful accomplishment of election fraud? And then he manufactured his birth certificate so I guess you can say he successfully duped American voters into thinking he was legit. And his appointed judges successfully shot down all attempts to question his [in]eligibility.

This country is doing what it does despite Obama's meddling influence.

For example, Obama didn't get Bin Laden. He called off previous missions (at the insistence of Valerie Jarrett) and on the successful RAID, he wasn't informed about the mission until the mission was underway and the birds were in the air. He really had no choice but to go along with it or it would have been plainly apparent that he was protecting Bin Laden. For someone who claimed to be in on the planning, my understanding is that he delegated full Operational Control AND accountability to Admiral McRaven [so that he'd have someone to blame if things went wrong]. REAL leaders don't do that. The person who gets the blame is the same person who should get credit, yet Obama spiked the football, crowing about it as if he had pulled the trigger himself.

Would you call Cash for Clunkers a success? How about the rollout of Obamacare? How much did it go over budget? We were told it would pay for itself and wouldn't cost the middle class a dime... which technically is correct; it cost a whole bunch of dimes! How about all that money Obama invested in Solyndra? The companies went under, nobody was held accountable, and taxpayers were left holding the bag. How many billion did taxpayers lose? And then there's our National Debt which has increased from 10.6 trillion to over 18 trillion dollars. And President GW Bush was "irresponsible and unpatriotic" for adding 4.7 trillion to the National debt over 8 years? We still have a year to go and Obama doesn't seem the least concerned about this threat to our National Security. NO, the greatest National Security threat right now is global warming... Right? @@

We also had the Arab Spring and Benghazi. I guess one could argue that Obama successfully armed Al Qaeda linked insurgencies and avoided having to answer to investigators about what really went down at Benghazi until AFTER the election. Hillary did a right fine job faking her head injury. What does it matter anyway? So we have a dead ambassador and ruined Gen Ham's career for putting together a rescue team when the Administration argued that nobody was available. And all this because of an obscure Internet video. Right? I'd say Obama is quite an accomplished liar.

Eventually the truth is going to come out -- despite the Administration's best efforts to manufacture evidence and destroy actual evidence of their wrongdoing. Obama's legacy is going to be one of shame. He will be known as the biggest race-baiting dope smoking liar to ever defraud his way into the White House and wreak havoc on the Constitution as well as compromise our National Security. My hope is that he isn't allowed to finish out his term and that he leaves office in an orange jumpsuit and handcuffs to face charges for his corruption and treason.

As for your chart, it doesn't matter how many jobs were added if they're jobs at fast food joints and the high paying, technical jobs are going overseas. Furthermore, what the chart isn't showing is the net jobs gained. How many million were lost? You can crow about unemployment going down, but if you change how unemployment is calculated and you aren't counting the number of employable people that have given up looking for work, it's just another fake statistic.

No... Just like Clinton, the democrat before him, he'll probably walk out and we'll have to pay the scurvy lyin' Rat's pension for the rest of his days. Who knows... maybe he'll go back to Chicago and one of his soul brother constituents will use him for target practice. Some would call it "Fate", others might call it "Karma".

Capt. Jeff; The problem with this man is... he's so Narcissistic that he believes he knows more than all the rest of us, both individually and collectively what is best for us and that he should be able to dictate, what he believes, is in our best interest... without those dictates being questioned as to validity, practicality or cost, either monetarily or societally.

He's been convinced somewhere along the line in his past by parents and others, by people involved in his upbringing and education... that all the concepts that this Country was founded on/under and the ways we have come about being the most successful Country in the History of the world... were/are wrong and that the USA was built, by running rough-shod over everybody and every-thing that got in the way and that we have "taken" what we wanted from everyone else both here and the rest of the world (which was the reason for his "World Apology Tour"), without any compensation to whomever we were "removing" what we wanted from.

Never mind the fact that the United States of America has increased the standard of living, fed and helped more people rise from poverty, brought about more technological improvement/advancement in just about any area you care to name the world over, than any other country or civilization in the history of man kind bar none.

Is "America Exceptional"... You bet your Ass it is... long has been and if we can get back to where we were, before his and those like him and their interventions, we will be on into the future... unless we get bombed into the dust by Iran, Russia and North Korea as a result of his continuing ineptitude.

There has been "Little or No Success", this man has done "NOTHING" but tear us and our way of life down, drive wedge after wedge between ethnic groups, political groups, religious groups, persons of differing sexes and sexual proclivities...you name it, in the name of so called "equality" and redistribution of everything.

I don't believe, He'll be happy until misery and so called "social justice" and a plethora ills both real and imaginary are attained and spread equally to all of us, because of some mistaken idea, that we've gotten where we are by "exploiting" everyone else and everything in the world, which couldn't be further from the truth.

Is the U.S. and the Society it contains "absolutely perfect" on all fronts... perhaps not... Is the U.S. and the Society it contains better than any other place on this planet... Well if it isn't, then I'd like someone to tell us... where on the Planet is better? Or even equal for that matter?

And if in fact there is someplace better & more successful or prosperous, where equality of life, fairness and every other measure of success you care to use as a "yardstick" is practiced and operating ... What are you doing here? Why haven't people fled to that place and further, why are thousands of Illegals immigrants and refugees clamoring to get to our shores even yet? Why... tell us please!

There are three times the number of people on welfare. The reason they aren't on the unemployment numbers is because they're kicking back at home voting for another socialist. Don't be fooled. Obama has done more damage than good.

The fact that he has peed all over our constitution too many times to count makes him the worst ever President we have ever had. Arrogant and self-aggrandization makes him even more despicable. Also, he knows nothing about Geo-politics and his apology tours makes America appear weak to our enemies and allies.

I think you under estimate the President SGT Ash; Things are going just exactly the way he wants them to go... down hill...FAST! The world is going to hell in a hand basket because of his indecisiveness and inaction and the fact that he's not allowing the Joint Chief's to Act, he's imitating "Nero" and "fiddling" while "Rome" and points "northeast"(Europe), "east", and "south" of it... burns.

All the while he's stirring the pot as "unrest" increases here at home as he drags or allows in, more and more "foreign nationals" that are eventually going to end up either creating or further exacerbating unrest in our streets... which is probably also calculated...

He cares nothing about "Geopolitics" or "Foreign Policy"... he's bent on making the USA a 3rd World "banana republic", just like... oh say... Venezuela! And is succeeding in spades... no pun intended!

Never mind the fact he's giving the "store" away to Iran, Islamist radicals & others in the middle east and else where, North Korea... to say nothing of Russia!

SSgt L Ol; I hate to be the bearer of "bad tidings" but it may already be..."too late"...

I check the new posts on RallyPoint almost daily and I respond to those that interest me. Anything that spouts the crap you do about Obama being successful and great certainly falls in to the category of something that catches my attention and interest me, because of the preposterousness of it.

If you don't want me to follow your threads or comment on them, stop making idiotic claims and comments.

On what standard is he successful?
The economy? Foreign policy and defense? Winning the Nobel Peace prize?
History will judge him and Bush etc. accordingly. Based on my view, Obama's legacy will not be a positive one

SGT J H. Booth - Bush is not my man. He was the president of United States and my commander in chief. President Obama is "not my man" either; he is the current president and my commander in chief. I don't remember saying Bush would be judge favorably at all. Those were your words. Finally, Bush had nothing to do with my post. It was about if our current president is successful or not. Generally, official documents are available 20 (sometimes 50) years after they occur. So historians will examine our current time and provide a clearer view of the past 10-16 years.

"On what standard is he successful?" is an excellent question by SFC Jonathan Gold. Don't judge Obama by the polls but do by his accomplishments & his leadership while in office. So, how anyone can say Obama has been successful based on these two metrics is just not credible.

He is extremely successful in that regard. Again, if that is the definition of success. What about the long term?. So for example, if Obamcare in twenty years lowers health care costs, the job and housing market are strong, and is affordable to everyone, and Iran does not get a bomb then yes, I believe that President will be judged very favorably. Time will tell.
