Once I submit my Army retirement packet, what is the timeline for having my retirement orders cut?

Hello. I submitted my retirement packet. My retirement date will be 1 Jan 2022. It is at Retirement Service Office and will be submitted next week. Is there a timeline for HRC to "cut" retirement orders? Ex: Do I have to be within X amount of months before the retirement date of 1 Jan 2022. Or will HRC "cut" retirement orders as soon as its processed? meaning i could get retirement orders, potentially next month?

IIRC (and that is a big if) they cut the orders very shortly after the retirement is approved.
But you should be in SFL-TAP NOW even without orders....

You can't be any closer than 90 days of your requested retirement date, and no greater than a year out. Also, retirement date is the last day of the month, not the first. Hopefully your packet doesn't get kicked back for the wrong date.
