I am an AF Nurse and have my Master's Degree in Nursing/ Nursing Education. I have taught evening classes for a local university (I taught the Nursing Leadership and Management course to second semester seniors for 4 semesters/2 years). Due to schedule conflicts, I am no longer able to do classroom teaching and am looking at trying my hand at online instruction. SO, with that being said, here is the question:

If you found a position being advertised, you meet the educational requirements, you meet the recent employed as a nurse requirements, but the job posting says they are looking for someone with experience with ONLINE instruction.... WOULD YOU APPLY ANYWAY? If so, please give rationale. If NOT, please give rationale.

If I'm an employer, I'm going to write the requirements to get a dream employee, but most of those are flexible in one way or another. That's what the interview and resume process is for. If you've taken online courses, then you are familiar with online instruction. If you're a perfect match for the job in every category but one, I as an employer can probably work around that.

If you never play, you'll never win.
