Persecuted for being a "Witch"...can this truly still be a thing in the modern age?

Obviously not good if it's what really happened. Aside from the false accusation, even if she was a witch (assuming Wiccan) that's not grounds for firing either.

Last time I checked, Hinduism is not akin to witchcraft, but I may be behind of the times... I have done some yoga, don't feel that it is satanic in any way. Some people just need to keep their ignorance a secret. As they say, it is better to remain silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and prove it.
