The program, which will be introduced to two dozen cities nationwide, aims to end the disparity in employment for the youngest veterans. Post 9/11 veterans are more than 20 percent more likely to be unemployed than civilians of the same age groups. Male veterans aged 24-34 have an unemployment rate topping 7.5 percent while non-veterans of that age have a jobless rate of 6.3 percent, according to the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics.

It's always great to see these programs and succeed in helping our Veterans get back to work. Ohio continues to do a lot for Veterans and my team has been a part of many round table discussions on how to get better. Please let me know how I can help out with any Veteran looking for work! I am on LinkedIn and many other Social Networking sites and I really enjoy sharing ideas and helping them move forward successfully!

There are numerous programs and recruitment fairs in this area. NC has a very large Veteran population and much support.

I'm not sure if my area has a program like this, and I don't currently need it. I moved to my current city because of employment.

But I would definitely take advantage of a program like this if it were available and I were unemployed.
