LTC (Join to see) I was hoping that RallyPoint would have used this thread to get posted by the Army Times. It must have violated OPSEC. Battleplans and all......

We had a solution in place and then surrendered it. Pulling out of Iraq reminded me of our complete abandonment of South Vietnam. Obviously, someone doesn't learn the lessons of history too well, do they? Compare that to our occupation of German and Japan where we slowly returned full sovereignty to the people and created some of our staunchest allies. Look at Korea where we left a "trigger force" on the DMZ and South Korea flourishes despite the constant threats from its crazed neighbor to the north. Yes, these military deployments were costly to maintain, but the US has received greater value in return.

How sad that so many fought and died to gain a foothold in the Middle East that might have been used to leverage a permanent solution. Soon, we will surrender any such advantage in Afghanistan and the result will be the same.

Now, as our newly minted veterans return from these debacles and the government reneges on their promises, let's hope that the Vietnam veterans who suffered even worse abuses will step up and help take care of these newly minted veterans. After all, when did anyone else, especially politicians, step up to help our brothers in arms. It's up to us to take care of each other at home just as we did on the battlefields.

How about (a) we stop buying Middle East oil (d) we sell our oil to our allies at a lower than OPEC per barrel price, and (2) we set strategically placed bombs on the Middle East fault lines...

LCDR Ryan Haag, I have played that, I am old school and love a good board game, Axis & Allies and Risk, to name a few... It looks it could be good fun. Is it still available or is it digital like everything else?

LCDR Ryan Haag, I appreciate the gesture but I had to laugh... could you imagine... hello sir I just happened to be in the neighborhood...

Though on a serious note, someday I would like to go to Hawaii, and if I am ever there I will definitely look you up, even if its only for a quick coffee.

Good one LTC (Join to see). :)

The unfortunate thing is that we need the authorization and go ahead to perform these actions.

I see Jordan did not hesitate after that Heinous act which ISIS committed on the pilot. Not to mention they do not even have many resources.
