Anxiety and stress are related to sleep deprivation, dissatisfaction at work and in relationships, physical ailments such as headaches, and many more struggles that are common today. If you are coping with stress or anxiety, you may be searching for ways to improve your mood, experience more joy and hope, and feel more comfortable or confident in your day-to-day life.

My ex wife. Couldn't stand her for a LONG time for the way it ended, but late last year, it just hit me that why hate her, you really still love her. Not for the marriage per se, but the fun memories. Once I had that part figured out, I knew then I could be in the same room with her and be civil, even courteous. Next one was my father. Couldn't stand the bastard personally, but I loved SFC Swan dearly. Again it just comes to you, and I wasn't mad at my father anymore. Still love SFC Swan, but my ol man has a certain level of respect from me now that he never had before. Now the hardest part is forgiving yourself. Haven't hit that point yet.

Thanks for sharing your two great examples on your way to self forgiveness. I travel right alongside you--same people, different shoe sizes...

Sgt Richard Buckner - I was blessed to be able to do it while he's still here. But no matter when it gets done, you'll be blessed and feel the blessings when it's your turn. It's going to happen brother; believe and it will. (Not trying to get all "preachy" with you, but I believe it was God/Jesus that gave me the clarity to get this far, not on my own alone). Forgiveness is never too late, maybe not soon enough sometimes, but never too late. Get there brother!!

I forgave myself for my role in seeing my marriage end.
It was the hardest thing I have ever done.

At the beginning of this year I forgave myself because I was finally able to accept the fact that being "broken" is a part of who I am and wasn't as bad as it seemed; and that there were many more out there just like me... :)
