I understand the MARADMIN is out on promotions for October and November. 1000 to be promoted each month. Does anyone have any insight on how accurate these numbers are? Maybe last years numbers as an example. I just want an idea of when I can expect to pin on. My number is just above 2000.

Honestly it is a waiting game. It sucks but it is part of the price of admission. You can try to use past years MarAdmins, but they are a very loose guide. Be patient, the hard part is over. Welcome to the SNCO ranks. Semper Fidelis.

Check the promotion maradmin each month, it comes out around the 15th and forecasts numbers 2 months out. Also there's usually a significant increase at the beginning of each quarter.

You could look up the individual Maradmins from last year. Typically it's heavy in the beginning and tapers off with 500 or so promotions. When I first got my number they told me I was getting promoted in Dec based off of past trends but I'll be promoted in November.

How senior are you, compared to peers. That's really the question. Generally speaking, they are "slow" at the beginning, and VERY fast towards the end of the fiscal year, as people shift off the Active to Retired list. When I was in, the list normally "cleared" by June.

I'm about in the middle. It's just that half are slated to be promoted this month and next month.
