Ok, let’s break this down. You have been out for 9 years, and we’re only a PV2 at discharge meaning you got chaptered for something and your RE code should be a 3. You will need to go back through basic and on top of that, the Army will not consider you a MOS-T if you were chaptered.

PV2 Will Huffman - Here is what you are going to need to do: You will need to speak with a recruiter. Take your DD 214 with you since they're gonna ask to see it. Your chances will depend on your RE Code and your separation Code. You may very well need a waiver or two.

You will not be authorized to move your family to your AIT. That's not to say that people haven't done it, but you're not authorized it. That means the Army won't pay for it and your AIT will still treat you as if your family is not local.

Before you ask, "Will I be allowed to...while in AIT?" It's whatever the policy is of the battalion and company of the AIT you are in.

The MOS I am trying to get is 25B Fort Gordon GA for AIT I read that if AIT is 20 weeks or more the Army allows you to relocate your family

A. That is incorrect. You are not authorized to bring your family. You can dig if you like, there's a TRADOC memo that says it's not allowed

B. 25B is not over 20 weeks.
