What a trooper! This young American stood, on his own free will, against the wind, the tide and even a few miscreants to honor the fallen. He showed more diligence, patriotism, honor and respect than most adults that I meet. I would be honored to meet this young man one day.

Not to dredge up an old topic but I will:
This young man is a full blown Swiss citizen. His name is Richie and his family originally hails from Floriday, but he has spent the majority of his life in Switzerland.
In 2020 he applied to all 3 major service academies, getting accepted into the Naval Academy. He decided to not attend, and instead join the Swiss military as an NCO, prior to going to OCS.
He runs a great blog and site, Project Vigil. He was a guest of honor at fort campbell a few years ago, got to hang out with the 506th for a while also. http://www.projectvigil.com/hmor-draft-2
He is a great kid/man, and his family are great friends of mine
