He said a couple things I agree but also some things I did not agree with.....this is an extremely important election, we must elect the right leader. The VA is but one problem the next President will face but our problems are much bigger than the VA.

Here's a short clip from his statement today:

TSgt (Join to see), I believe he showed his inexperience with statements in the article such as:

"The phone records of US citizens none of their dam business," Paul said. "As president, on day one, I will end this unconstitutional surveillance. I believe we can have liberty and security and I will not compromise your liberty for a false sense of security."

Making statements without the sound council helping you weigh the pro's and con's of such decisions and changes shows a lack of experience and if acted on without advice can be reckless.

Ok, I'll give you that he is inexperienced, but we had some very experienced politicians who got this country into the trouble it's in now. And, you don't Pro and Con freedom and Liberty in my book.

I am looking forward to seeing this issue addressed amongst candidates....There is no doubt that he is an intelligent and energetic candidate, I am looking forward to seeing all the candidates and issues brought forward.

SFC Robert Giffin, I am not so sure he will end the surveillance on "day one as President", do you think he would really be able to do this?

I agree with the Ben Franklin's statement! Interesting link, identifying the unconstitutional contents of the Act:

I doubt Senator Paul has any chance of winning the Presidency. He's a snake and I think that most people don't trust him.

My thoughts???? It's America, I guess he can do whatever he wants...the current CIC hasn't turned us into Cuba yet...(close) but I didn't know there was any controversy in running.
Where the controversy lies is if Clinton decides to run. She ought to be brought up under charges for her time in the State Department, lying, slander, dereliction of duty, and faking an injury on trying to get out of the Benghazi testimony. Now that's controversy, this isn't.

Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying I support Rand Paul, I think he's very weak on foreign-policy just like some current serving leaders now. I'm just saying, I just don't see what the controversy is.

I personally have a hard time finding someone that I really, really want to vote for so I vote for the least likely, in my opinion, to screw us up worse.

Rand Paul caves to the Liberal Left way too much to suit me. I am leaning Cruz and Carson.

PO2 William Allen Crowder, I simply observed that I was not in the least surprised that he threw his hat in the ring. Hardly tantamount to an endorsement. SGT Kevin Toole said much the same.

An original thinker with interesting ideas. However, when the nation is approaching 70% of households receiving some form of government entitlement, benefit or subsidy, a fiscal responsibility candidate with libertarian tendencies is unlikely to attract broad appeal. Whatever we think we are as a nation the numbers indicate that most Americans are happy to taken care of whatever the expense or consequence. We're mortgaged the future of those whom have yet to be born and not a lot of people care. Having a looney-tunes father doesn't help him.

He's not going to win, the Libertarian philosophy has never and will never work especially in this era. Beside the nitty gritty domestic policy such as abortion, religious freedom, and the ilk. His economic policy is the same as all the Republicans of "Trickle Down" which in theory looks great on paper except when it's put into practice.

He believes that U.S. would be better economically if we were to cut all social programs such as food, health, education for the poor...that's more than half the damn population of the U.S. Then he advocate for more spending for the military and last I checked we spend more on defense than all the nation combine. The same guy that put his signatures on a letter to Iran to second guess a sitting President. Let some of you guys do that behind your Commanding Officer's back and see if your ass and career isn't over.

I was a fool to be voting Republican when I was still in the military. I realized the mistakes I've made through the years. Furthermore, I'm sure the Koch brother's money is on Jeb.

There are two types of Republicans...
1. Millionaires/Billionaires
2. Suckers
