While at a military base I am found to be sharing a barracks with females. All rooms are separated and have locking doors. The issue is that since I was a young joe I have found a great appreciation for silkies, aka Ranger Panties. I rock them out as we wind down the duty day. I have never had an issue as being in the infantry. Now that females are in the same building I was advised that they may not be the best option for my evening attire in the barracks.

When the impending absorption of women in combat arms while should we know have to change the standard for the ones that are maintaining the standard? I am sure if SSG V. Michelle Woods was there wouldn't even blink an eye. Should it matter that there would be women around.

I wear them for PT both stateside and deployed. Never had an issue, nor would I entertain one. They are about as revealing as female soldiers who take off their uniform top. We are all adults...this "you offend me" PC garbage has got to be stopped.

Somewhat on this same topic - ever had to hold a female soldiers feet during the sit-up APFT event? God, I keep my head almost turned around for fear of a SHARP violation. That's an uncomfortable position.

And that is why whenever we do an APFT, even if we have to borrow a male or female who isn't taking the test...we will always have female soldiers holding female soldiers feet. The same applies for male soldiers.

I keep my face turned regardless of the sex of the soldier, just to limit how much I'm inhaling their breath. There's no point in getting sick over an APFT.

Hahahaha oh my goodness! In honor of your ridiculous albeit valid concerns, I think I'll slip into my 3rd Bat Ranger Panties and head off to dream land...
