There have been many RallyPoint members who have sought ways to recognize impactful individual service members and veterans who have passed either in combat or after their military career.
It is not practical to recognize every individual with a separate discussion, but we are happy to host those posts on this central thread.
You are invited to post responses here about individual service members and veterans that you wish to honor.

WOHLMAN, RICHARD A. USAF Weather Recon Dies Age 59
SSgt Larry Olson, North Carolina
WOHLMAN, RICHARD A.
The much beloved Richard Arthur "Rick" Wohlman went home to the Lord on Friday, May 9, 2014. He was born on Sept. 22,1952 to the late Marion Shaffrick Wohlman and Richard L. Wohlman.
He leaves to cherish his memory, wife Patricia (Peterson) Wohlman; son Richard Jackson (Katie)
Wohlman: daughters Kelly Dean (Eric) Pilarczyk; Kayce (Nate) Keane; sister Debra (James) Hendryx, and precious grandchildren Jackson Wohlman and Penelope Pilarczyk.
Rick attended the United States Air Force Academy
and then served his country as an aerial weather reconnaissance officer, chasing typhoons in the Pacific and hurricanes in the Atlantic. He received a distinguished service award for locating a crippled 47ft. sailboat with 6 souls aboard during supertyphoon Tip, when the ship lost communications.
His adventures took him to North Carolina where he taught classes at a university, Huntsville, Alabama where he worked for NASA and finally retiring to Parker, Colorado, where he worked as a real estate broker with
his wife, Patricia. Rick loved airplanes, the mountains and politics. But most of all he loved his family.
He will be deeply missed. Services and internment will be held Friday, May 23 at 1:00 at the United States Air Force Academy in
Colorado Springs.
My husband was in the 21st Squadron in England as part of the DDay wea plans. He went to the continent as DDay plus 60. He was there for the Belgian Bulge and on into liberating Berlin.
THIS WAS THE ORIGINAL POST.

Thank you, LTC Yinon Weiss. Gary graduated from high school five years before I did, but I dated his younger sister. We would sit on his parents' front porch and talk as I would wait for his sister. His wife has never remarried and his sister struggles with his death to this day.
