So I was talking to my downstairs neighbor (Korean War Vet, 1st Marine Regiment) earlier today, and he reminded me of of the Ribbon Creek Incident of MCRD Paris Island, SC.

For those not familiar, SSgt Matthew McKeon a Drill Instructor was involved in the death of 6 recruits, during an evening training exercise.

I first became aware of the incident in the mid 1990s during JROTC when my instructor told us about it. It's been years since I read the original book on it (This is just one of many).
