RP members, I have had my posts get changed by RP staff. Often this voids me from getting bonuses at 10 and 25 votes. Do you get this too?

My Stories I gave to Rallypoint were edited or moved from a Question to an update and these I have 10 or more votes and one has 30 votes and no bonus waypoint.https://www.rallypoint.com/status-updates/did-you-know-that-hilter-had-a-few-words-to-say-to-field-grade-officers-who-took-ile-cgsoc-what-do-you-think-rp https://www.rallypoint.com/shared-links/stolen-honor-captain-of-world-war-2-sub-chaser-pc-566-only-given-legion-of-merit-with-v-device-for-sinking-u-166

When I asked a question a while back, they re-worded it for the reader to understand, but that is all that RP has done.

SGM Erik Marquez - Ok, thanks SGM. I guess its operator error-(me). Thanks for explaining. I am still perplexed if the reset also affects my 10 and 25 up vote. I thought I was a responsible contributor. Ok, I will be more careful. Thanks.

SGM Erik Marquez - I would like to see if RALLY Point IT, in the near future, can do both since I see it is harder to add people and you can't add as much when you do an update.

LTC (Join to see) - Sir , professional, responsible and helpful are all adjectives Id use to describe your contributions here.
But yes understanding the guidelines for each content type Link, update, question takes a bit of time and work to get right.
I truly did not know what i needed to until I was asked to be an Admin and forced myself to do the research.

SGM Erik Marquez - Thanks. I am a repressed history nut and this medium I feel I am in my niche! thanks again!

You still get bonuses when a post - link, update or question - reaches the appropriate number of votes. The format of that post does should not change this.

Carlos, in this example, I had a survey added to this post asking if the Lt Commander of this sub chaser should have gotten the bronze star, silver star or the Navy Cross or was the Legion of Merit good enough and it was changed(deleted without my consent) as well. I did not receive my bonus at 10 nor at 25 votes. Check it out for yourself.

Stolen Honor. Captain of World War 2 Sub Chaser 'PC-566' only given Legion of Merit with V device for sinking U-166? I watched this on PBS Nova. Lt. Commander Gordon Claudius did not get credit for sinking U-166 in July, 1942. His report was not accepted. He got an 'F' by his Command. I want the Navy to upgrade his award. He did not get his honor due until a few years ago. His Son was presented the Legion of Merit but I believe it should have...

SSG Carlos Madden that is interesting news. I have not received any bonuses for any of my updates which have 10 or more up-votes or shared links for that matter. Are we supposed to getting bonuses for those type of posts?

LTC Stephen F. -you should since I have received a couple of 250 point bonuses in the last week. You should too. Sir, did they edit your story? I hypothesize that this only happens when they tamper/edit your story. I think it happens about 33% of the time when they edit/change it. I put the twilight zone picture because it is unexplained and still can't be proven.

LTC (Join to see) - sometimes my discussion was merged to a similar discussion that was posted earlier and sometimes my discussion title was altered for grammatical reasons.

Perhaps the admins should ask the author whether they agree or might prefer to keep original posting form and/or modify admin approach. I've only had this issue once - but admin edits completely changed nature of my question and background which resulted in misunderstanding - and I ultimately had to argue to undo the admin change - the original posting form produced more vibrant replies that stuck to the premise and topic. If the admins modify a posting w/o original author permission then the admins should become the authors. Warmest Regards, Sandy

What they do often is put my title in the first paragraph and then put a weak or less important sounding topic heading which I believe hurts my story. I am not talking about weekly world news, the Sun or other trash tabloid lies but I often see a watered down topic heading that often is way off the topic I had intended to inform about on RP.

Capt Tom Brown - They sometimes are the good idea fairy and they make my article title seem lame. I discussed this here about a foot down from this answer.

Actually, I think it would be common decency to check with a person before they altered a post. We own our words and take responsibility for them. I'm not happy about taking responsibility for some perverted version of them. If they don't want to give me a right of final edit, then take my name off of them.
