So I just finished watching Daredevil on Netfix (not the movie, the new TV Series).
It is set just after the Avenger's Movie inside the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and I must say it is GOOD.
For those who don't know, I am a HUGE comic fan, and if this were bad, I would tear it apart.
But what makes this good is not that it is true to the source material, or that it has great acting,it is that the creators developed dual protagonists.
Both the Hero (Daredevil) and the Villain (Kingpin) are equal in this tale. I'm a firm believer that the villain must be "at least" as interesting as the hero of the story, and in this series, they captured that.
What's more, we find ourselves rooting for both sides, as they are both right and wrong in the story. One approaches things from the macro, while the other from the micro. So this said, what we dislike is the methods... not the man. For if we were to look at them from a different angle... the other would be the villain of this tale.

I also just started watching this. I am four episodes in and so far I am very pleased with the show. I have always prefered the superheros who are super through hard work and dedication over the ones with powers. This Daredevil is just that. He gets his ass kicked in all four episodes but dishes out more punishment than he receives.

Yeah, I love everything I've seen so far. The ability for Marvel to interconnect thier Television/VoD/Movie Universe is great. It's literally the viewing equivilent of a comic book, with all these stories happening interconnected.
The ability of Netflix to not have a censorship board means it can be darker, grittier, realer than most of the other shows, and I can't wait for the rest of the Marvel Knights (Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Defenders Mini-Series) to catch up. If they can bring in a Punisher program like the short 'Dirty Laundry' (Youtube it if you haven't seen it already), or even a Moon Knight, I won't need to watch real TV ever again.
Sorry, got off track, was geekin' out.

I'm a HUGE Iron Fist fan. If they can capture the Martial Arts flavor, with the right touch of mysticism, I'll be stoked.
On a side note, Marvel owns Punisher & Ghost Rider again... so who knows what we'll see.
I believe the last properties they don't have positive control of are:
Spiderman (They have a deal with Sony though)
Fantastic Four
X-Men
Namor (I believe he has reverted but don't have confirmation).

finished the series on Netflix last week. was never a big Daredevil fan, but I always respect the heroes that don't have "super powers", so I was certainly pleased with how it was presented. loved the fight scenes(all of them) and looking forward to new season next year!

Many of the marvel heroes aren't really about their powers, but about their inner conflicts. In DD's case it's the Lawyer / Vigilante.
